Videography
Although still photography was my first love, and print publishing taught me the proper fusion of an engaging narrative with compelling imagery, the explosion of inexpensive film and editing production has democratized videography. This has led to the latest facet in my career, and whether you're reading or watching, a good story is a good story. A compelling message is the constant, the medium is fluid.
Crossing New Mexico
Defenders of Wildlife
The New Mexico Departments of Game and Fish, and Transportation released a study identifying hotspots where animals and vehicles collide throughout the State. The Defenders of Wildlife commissioned me to make a film to rally support for the construction of safe wildlife corridors.
Hermosa de Sabinoso
New Mexico Wildlife Federation
This is an excerpt from a documentary I created for the New Mexico Wildlife Federation celebrating the purchase of private land that nearly doubled the size of one of our State’s most beautiful wilderness areas.
Kiowa Grasslands
Backcountry Hunters and Anglers
I volunteered to help illustrate the efforts of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers as they created safe passage zones for pronghorn in the northeast corner of New Mexico.
Deming Strong
A profile of humanity
Climate change and the violence of narcotrafficking has led to a humanitarian crisis on our border. The people of Deming, New Mexico rose up to help people seeking asylum, and showed us the better angels of human nature.
Photography
I studied photojournalism at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, learning my f-stops and apertures while exploring Chicago.
